
Mr. Edwards is our President for Nephroceuticals, and has served since the original start-up operations of the Company.
Mr. Edwards is also a Co-Founder/Managing Director of Gem City Business Solutions, and is the Chief Commercialization Officer for Aptima Ventures. He previously served as the Vice President/General Manager for the Accelerant Venture Capital Fund, an Initiative of the Dayton Development Coalition. Mr. Edwards has in excess of 25 years of experience providing business operations, investment and technical guidance for the development and commercialization of new solutions within a variety of different markets. He began his career with Huffy Corporation within their internal audit department, and then joined Ernst & Young leading audit and review engagements for some of the largest publicly and privately owned companies in the Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, Ohio areas. From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Edwards served as a Senior Director of Product Management and Software Development for Reynolds & Reynolds, a Fortune 1000 Technology based company headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. In 2005, Mr. Edwards joined a local consulting firm and led the Business Advisory Services line of the firm over a period of several years.
Mr. Edwards specializes in business and technology consulting, as well as managing new solution introductions to the market. Mr. Edwards is a Certified Public Accountant within the State of Ohio, and holds a dual major in Accountancy and Finance from Wright State University.
Dr. Wig is a healthcare executive and Board member with 20+ years of experience driving financial growth, strategic transformation, and innovation across payer, provider, pharmaceutical, and MedTech sectors. He brings expertise in financial oversight, enterprise risk management, human capital, and long-term strategic planning to the Boards he serves.
Currently serving as chief clinical officer and senior vice president at Optum Rx, Dr. Wig oversees clinical pharmacy operations for more than 70 million members and 3,000 clients, managing its P&L and leading initiatives focused on specialty strategy, drug trend intelligence, and clinical innovation. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Walmart Health & Wellness, where he built a national quality and safety framework across 5,000 pharmacies and 3,000+ optical centers, dental clinics, and virtual care operations, supporting healthcare delivery for 1.6 million employees and 160 million weekly customers (including 20 million pharmacy members).
Earlier in his career, Dr. Wig served as vice president and chief medical officer at Express Scripts/Cigna, where he helped reposition clinical operations toward value-based care models and driving deeper insights in drug trends. He held the same role at DaVita Healthcare Partners, where he led enterprise technology initiatives and strengthened patient safety and care. Prior to that, at Fresenius Medical Care, he created and expanded novel care delivery partnerships and reimbursement strategies to drive sustainable growth.
Dr. Wig currently serves on the boards of the National Kidney Foundation, the Milken Institute’s FasterCures, and Nephroceuticals. His governance experience reflects a strong focus on financial performance oversight, talent management, strategic growth, and innovation-driven value creation.
Dr. Wig holds an M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. He is board certified in Nephrology with active medical licensure in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Ohio.
Robert Provenzano is a prominent Detroit-area nephrologist. Provenzano is Partner & Co-Founder of Renal Care Innovation Holding LLC, Chief of the Division of Nephrology of Hypertension & Transplantation, Director of Nephrology Research, and Director of Acute Dialysis Services at St John Hospital & Medical Centerin Detroit, MI. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine He is the Chief Operating Officer of St Clair Specialty Physicians in Detroit, Chief Medical Officer Nephrology Practice Services and the Vice President of Medical Affairs for DaVita, Inc. He was also the lead physician at Colorado Springs Nephrology in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dr. Provenzano works with several professional societies and advisory boards. He is past-President of the Renal Physicians Association, immediate past-Chair of the Board of Trustees for the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, and an active member of the American Society of Nephrologyand the American Society of Transplantation, and a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Provenzano is also a member of the Michigan State Medical Society, Wayne County Medical Society, American Medical Association, International Society of Nephrology, Transplant Society of Michigan, American Society of Apheresis, International Society of Peritoneoscopists, and International Society of Blood Purification.
Josh Jackson is a proven sales leader, leveraging over 30 years of broad healthcare marketing and sales experience, from medical start-up organizations to large publicly traded multi-national companies. For the past 5 years Mr. Jackson, Head of US Medical Business Development, has been employed at Sagentia, Inc. a science and technology product development consultancy. Prior to Sagentia Mr. Jackson held a variety of business development positions at firms including Medtronic and DePuy Orthopedics. Mr. Jackson holds a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Biology from Hartwick College.
